News Alert! Che will become a big brother somewhere around June 24. We're expecting another one and no, we aren't going to find out the gender. Che's vocabulary is getting very extensive in english and Spanish. He's working on 2-word sentences these days and expressing his emotions with his words. He's also quite active, running around climbing on everything from Mom and Dad to the dinner table and the dogs.
Two of Che's favorite things in life (right now): Fruit and la luna (the moon). This kid likes every fuit that he's ever tried (including pickles and olives). He's recently been really into apples, but he's gone through orange, strawberry and banana phases. As for la luna, Che goes crazy when he notices the moon, a picture or drawing of a moon, the word "luna" or anything that he thinks could possibly be the moon.
We recently took our second trip to mexico with Che. The beach was a little easier when he wasn't walking. No more reading and falling asleep on the beach. Now it's more talking about who's turn it is to follow him around and make sure he doesn't get into anything. He spent the majority of the time naked, which we think he enjoyed (nudist at heart?). Che's charming and inviting personality makes it easy for him to make friends, a skill which he exhibited in Mexico. That's the latest on the Che front. We should have another update sometime in the year 2017. Hasta luego.
Peace, Mom and Dad

Much has happened since we last wrote (sorry). Che's walking (and running) around like a pro (courtesy of his many pairs of sneakers [thanks to Marvin and to Kirsten]). As you can see by the pics, he also got his first haircut. There's been much less "what's her name". Che's Spanish comprehension is coming along very well. He knows where his nose, stomach, feet, the ceiling, book and many other things are (in spanish). He gives kisses when asked and even puts his books back on the shelf when asked (when he wants to) (in spanish). He can tell you what a lion, monkey and frog say when asked (in spanish). And I'm pretty sure he can say "manzana" (apple). Exciting! Until next time (hopefully before Che's 5). Peace.

okay sorry it's almost may now. Che is a little under the weather on this particular day or teething (top left front tooth this time ((he's got 2 bottom partials)). But anyway aside from that he's be looking more and more like a little man. You can't keep your eye's off him long enough, when your all of a sudden pulling dog food (crunchy) out of his mouth that he's found, he seems to have an ear for the sound of dog bowls hitting the floor. He's about 20 lbs, 27 3/4 long, and very curious. As you all may or may not know Gregg and I are attempting to raise Che bi-lingual (with the help of grandma Jane, our broken spanish, and some spanish childrens videos which he seems to like very much) it will be interesting to see what happens, maybe we'll throw french or mandarin chinese in there to really confuse him. But anyway, all is well and he's all looking forward to seeing everyone May 7, 2005 @2ish for our house warming bbq/taurus fest/mothers day/whatever extravaganza. call for details if you don't know. love- mom

My, it's been a little while, no? Che has become an international traveler with our trip to Playa del Carmen, México where he had the ladies swooning. He enjoyed the sunny weather and swimming in the ocean. I will try to get some pictures up soon, I promise. He's not quite yet crawling, but he really looks like he wants to, he's definately the squirm master. See you soon.

Che had his 6 mo. dr. apt. where they gave him his final shots of the series (thank goodness that's over with) he handled it like a champ though. He weighs in at 16lb.12oz., 27in. long, 45 (cm i think) head size. My growing boy. He's becoming accustomed to his crib nicely, in fact he's accustomed right now. He's quite the social butterfly, and puts on his happy face for his visitors. He's saves the other face for mom and dad. We're trying banana's this week uuummm. Che has been sitting up, occasionally falling over but less and less everyday. -mom

It's been a little while since we talked. Che is enjoying his bouncer and his stationary walker (that's an oxymoron if ever there was one). He's also been slowly adapting to his crib. Last night, Malikha told me the proverbial "they" consider 6 hours "sleeping through the night". He's slept through the night a number of times. I think the phrase "sleeping through the night" should be rephrased, because when the baby goes to sleep at 8:30 for 6 hours, I think you get my point. He has his 6 month check-up complete with vaccinations very soon, so I'm sure we'll update you with his newest growth stats.

Hello again long time no write. Che is doing very well his last Dr. apt was about 1 month ago, He weighed 14 lb.15 oz., 25 3/4 long (he in the 90% for height I wonder where that came from). His hair is getting longer by the day, and in fact we had to trim his bangs so he could see. It's still straight though, we're just waiting for it to spring into curls, but who knows. We started him on cereal which he has been eating, the first couple trys it was primarily on his face instead of in his mouth. We're all looking forward to his first christmas, or we are anyway (I'm sure he doesn't care). He likes his jumper right now (this very moment) bounce, bounce, bounce. Well till next time.

The thumb still hasn't made it quite into the month yet (more so in the eye) but it's definately getting there. Che had his "2 month" doctor's apt. he now weighs 12lbs 3oz, 23 1/2in long, he's a growing boy. unfortunately for him (and us for tht matter) 2 "Nurse Ratchets" had to torture him with needles (vacination time). Now he can really travel the world without worry of anything. Che seems to be a happy baby and smiles more and more everyday, we've also been holding some very intelligent conversations (mostly single syllabled). til next time.-mom

Che's been loving his swing for the past few days. He just stares up at the mobile and changing colors and listens to the oceanic sounds. It's a good luller-to-sleeper, if he's tired.

Che has been discovering his fingers the last couple days he sort of gets them in his mouth. With a little guidance he may soon be a full fledged thumb sucker.
His neck is getting very strong also, and he seems to smile (for real) not just when he has to pass gas or poop.
The one thing I hope doesn't change is the great poop face, hopefully we can catch it on camera for those of you who haven't had the pleasure of seeing it.

Here are a few firsts:
07/26/04 - Doctor's Visit. He weighed 7lb 2oz and was 20¾ in, he shrunk!
08/08/04 - Cord stump came off and we never found it
08/11/04 - First flight. He was great, a natural traveller.
08/15/04 - First full bath. Che was happy for the first half, then decided it wasn't for him.
